Magnesium Oil and Foot Soak Recipe

It is no secret that most of us are deficient of magnesium, a vital mineral that the body uses for hundreds of reactions and every cell in our bodies needs, it is essential for bone, muscle, tooth, and joint health as well as for optimal sleep and stress reduction. Our modern day lifestyle, when nobody has time for anything anymore because of how busy we are, sleep is a luxury and yes, stress and sugar filled diets are on trend and work hard play harder is well know practice, its no wonder so many of us suffers with the consequences of it all.

Don’t we get magnesium naturally from the food we eat? Yes and No! Many of our natural resources of magnesium are depleted, our soil is no longer a good source due yo over-farming and high use of pesticide, and the water filtration removes most of the natural occurring magnesium in water.

OMG!! What now? Well fortunately there’s the ocean, oh how I love the ocean! Its a wonderful source of magnesium so if you live in the tropicals take advantage and soak up all that natural magnesium and trace minerals the ocean has to offer. But for those of us who are unfortunate enough to not have daily access to the beach, Although magnesium can be taken as an oral supplement, it is more readily absorbed by the skin than internal supplements, therefore transdermal magnesium oil can be the easiest and most effective way to increase magnesium levels.

If you don’t know already, magnesium oil is one of many great natural products I offer on my shop.

What is magnesium oil you may ask? First of all, it isn’t actually an oil. It’s magnesium chloride that’s suspended in water. The mixture between the highly concentrated element and water happens to have an oily texture. Some of the benefits of magnesium oil are:

  • Increase Magnesium Levels in the Body
  • Increases Energy
  • Smoother Skin
  • Ease Muscle Soreness
  • For Headaches and Migraines
  • Balanced Blood Sugar
  • Blood Pressure and Hypertension
  • Supporting Restful Sleep

Another great option that you can before bed time if spaying magnesium is not your thing, is a foot soak. Yay, its so delicious, calming and oh oh so beneficial. The pores on the feet are thicker than pores elsewhere on the body. This allows the magnesium to be absorbed more quickly and reach the bloodstream faster. Interesting stuff huh?

So I prepared this easy, and like always, quick recipe for you to try before bedtime!!!

Magnesium Foot Soak Ingredients

1/2 cup Magnesium Chloride Flakes

1/2 to 1 cup Rose Petals

5-10 drops of Peace and Calming Essential Oil or Lavender Essential Oil

  1. Fill a foot basin half way with warm water, add the Magnesium Flakes and stir until dissolved.
  2. Add roses and essential oil
  3. Soak feet for 15-20 minutes, ideally before bedtime for a restful night of sleep.

Show me some love! I’d love to hear from you. Tell me on the comments below what do you do to increase magnesium levels in your body!

From my heart to yours,

Patty
